Is there a minimum amount in revenue that I must generate to qualify for your billing service?

I just did an analysis to determine what I am paying right now for my billing staff.  It turned out to be just under 6% of my overhead.  How do I justify paying your company 8%?  If my practice generates $1,000,000.00 and I am presently spending $60,000.00, how can I justify the increase to my overhead of an additional $20,000.00?

Why do you require a contract?  Couldn’t I just do month-to-month billing?

I feel like I would lose control over my billings if I outsource.  How can you assure me the billing service is doing a good job?

What benchmarks should I be looking for from a billing service?

What about patient owed-balances?  Will the billing services contact patients who do not pay their bills or do not follow the payment plans that the patient agreed to?

How does your billing service develop its rates?  Your percentage of 8% seems high.  We have spoken with other billing services that offered to do the billing for 5% to 6%.  Why are you so high?
